About OSC

Welcome to the Omni Strain Coalition — a very different kind of fan community.

OSC was founded on Reddit with just a handful of members. Since then, we have grown into a dedicated community with members from around the world.

In the beginning, OSC was made up of nine separate factions. As the community grew, those factions eventually became too large to remain separate, and they merged into a single Coalition: the OSC we know today.

At first, we were a closed-door community involved in a little bit of everything, with a strong focus on trading Aprimon. But once we became one Coalition, our mission began to change.

We started noticing that many regular players simply did not have access to their favorite Pokémon in Apriballs. Some did not even have access to a strong, well-bred Pokémon to help them through the main story.

So JJ, one of OSC's founders, began breeding competition-ready Pokémon, and OSC started hosting giveaways.

That was when things really began to grow.

As time went on, we noticed another problem: gatekeeping.

At OSC, we believe knowledge is not property. It is meant to be shared.

We began creating guides — small tips at first, designed to help everyday players understand the game a little better or make it through a regular ladder match. Then people wanted more.

The small tips became full guides. The guides became structured lessons. And eventually, those lessons grew into the educational library and curriculum OSC has today.

Everything we have ever done for the community has been free, and we intend to keep it that way.

Money does not buy love for the game.

Our mission at OSC is simple: help the regular player.

Whether someone wants to understand competitive battling, build a better team, learn breeding, get through the story, or simply understand the game they already love a little better, we want that knowledge to be available to them.

No gatekeeping. No paywall. No requirement to already be an expert.

Just players helping players.

Founders & Faction History

OSC was built by three founders: JJ, Mya, and Ellie. Their work shaped the Coalition’s identity, from community organization and breeding support to the educational library that serves players today.

Before the Coalition became one organization, the community was made up of nine separate factions: S3S, Prism Genetics, Apex Vector Group, Matrix Routing Systems, Genesis Dominion, Sphere Dynamics, Vanta Nexus, Innocence Vector, and Nova Strain Collective.

Each faction brought its own people, experience, and perspective. As the community expanded, keeping those groups separate became less useful than combining their strengths. The factions were unified into the Omni Strain Coalition, preserving their history while creating one shared mission.

That merger is why OSC’s modern work carries both a unified identity and a respect for the communities that came before it.
